Wedding questions
Asked by nearly every couple.
Can you do an outdoor or farm ceremony?
Yes — outdoor ceremonies are standard Free State fare. We plan power, wind and weather cover with the venue, and position equipment so it stays out of your photos.
Will the DJ take requests on the night?
Within the brief you set. Your must-plays are guaranteed, your do-not-plays are respected, and guest requests are filtered through that — politely.
How long do you need to set up?
It depends on the rig, but we agree exact load-in and soundcheck times with your venue in advance — and we are always finished before guests arrive.
What happens if there’s load shedding during the wedding?
We confirm the venue’s generator or inverter arrangements during planning, and critical moments — ceremony, speeches, first dance — get protected power. If your venue has no backup, we tell you early and plan around it honestly.
Do you work with our photographer and planner?
Directly and early. Lighting positions, first-dance timing and speech cues are coordinated with the people capturing your day — good production makes their work look better.
How far will you travel?
Anywhere in the Free State as standard — farm venues included. Further is possible by arrangement. Travel is quoted openly, never added afterwards.
